On the cinematic front, the 38-year-old appeared in two films in 2025. She made her acting comeback as Sunita in the Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par and later starred as Vijaya Soujanya in the bilingual movie Junior. Up next, she is set to grace the screens in a Marathi movie titled Raja Shivaji. Scheduled for a release in 2026, Genelia will not only act but also produce the film. Following this, she will be seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s Police Station Mein Bhoot alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Ramya Krishnan. Fans will also see her in a high-octane family action drama titled Gunmaster G9. Made under the direction of Aditya Datt, the film features her alongside Aparshakti Khurrana, Emraan Hashmi, and Abhishek Singh. Gunmaster G9, backed by Deepak Mukut and Hunar Mukut under the Soham Rockstar Entertainment banner, is said to hit the theatres in 2026.
