Gaza, October 22 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 68,234 martyrs, in addition to the injury of 170,373 Palestinians. Hospitals in the enclave received 5 slain bodies in the past 24 hours, of whom one body was directly shot by the occupation forces, while 4 bodies had been retrieved from the rubble, alongside 4 injured Palestinians, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported in a statement on Wednesday. The ministry pointed out that, as soon as the ceasefire took effect in the enclave, the total number of recovered bodies reached 436, while the number of those received from the Israeli occupation reached 195. This is at a time when several bodies still languish under debris and on the roads, with medics and civil defense crews unable to reach them. (QNA)
