Gary Neville believes Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha can make sure Manchester United have a “very good season”, but it is goalkeeper Senne Lammens who is helping settle the team after a tough opening to the season. Mbeumo and Cunha both scored as United beat Brighton to record a third Premier League win in a row and climb up to sixth in the standings, with matches against beleaguered Nottingham Forest and third-placed Tottenham to come. Neville is impressed with what he has seen from two forward signings. "They are players who I love watching in a red shirt," Neville said on Cunha and Mbeumo on his Sky Sports Podcast. "What I like about them is the hunger, their courage to take the ball, they're positive, they do everything I think a United forward should do now. "They'll make mistakes, they'll give goals away, but what I can see is the intent is there to do the right thing every single time: get on the ball, make runs in behind, take people on, be a threat, make sure that if you lose it five times, you go and get it a sixth time, shoot from anywhere, whatever it is that you think you can see, go and smell and do it.” He added: "If you can have those two up top that are free to go and win you the game, and the other seven or eight can just contribute in and around it and provide a support system to them, I think United will have a very good season. "I said at the start the season I thought they would finish in the top four, but that's just me being me. The free weeks that they've got to prepare between every game is a massive advantage to be able to get everybody ready and keep everybody fit." But Neville feels the real stability has come from the back, with new goalkeeper Lammens proving a far more assured pair of hands to Altay Bayindir, who started the season as first-choice keeper, and Andre Onana, who was shipped out on loan to Turkey. He continued: "The goalkeeper looks like he's a lot more solid and stable than the other two. "I like goalkeepers who've got a composure to them, a relaxed manner. You can see it in the Lammens. He is somebody who looks composed, and that's not easy. I've said it before that the toughest job possible is to be the United goalkeeper. He's settled in well.”
