Gary Neville has shared his latest verdict on Benjamin Sesko - claiming the striker is "well off it" despite showing glimpses of his ability in Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest . The Slovenia international, who completed the move to Old Trafford in the summer from RB Leipzig, for an initial fee of £66.4million , is yet to show his best form. United had prioritised the signing of a striker, and Sesko was one of three attackers to arrive at the club, alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer. United's first-choice target had reportedly been Viktor Gyokeres , who instead joined rivals Arsenal - his preferred destination. Sesko, meanwhile, was identified as an alternative option, having been on the club's radar since 2022. Since the start of the season, Sesko has started six times under Ruben Amorim . At Forest, he was given a second successive start after registering an assist in last weekend's 4-2 win over Brighton. In the first half, the 22-year-old saw a couple of chances fall his way, but was limited to few opportunities in the second half. Neville, though, was disappointed by Sesko's performance and remains eager to see more from him. "I'm no further forward with him. The jury is out," Neville began telling NBC Sports. "He's well off it compared to the other summer signings that Man United made up front in [Matheus] Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo. "He looks awkward, he had a couple of really good opportunities in the first half - when balls got played over the top and his touch wasn't quite right. For £80million, you can say he's young, or has a lot of potential and he's only just settling in, but you still want to see a bit more." United were aiming to secure a fourth consecutive win following their victories over Sunderland, Liverpool , and Brighton, but ultimately had to settle for a draw at the City Ground. Casemiro opened the scoring for the visitors, before Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicola Savona struck within two minutes after the break to turn the game around. Amad rescued a point with just under ten minutes remaining. After the match, Amorim praised his team's fighting spirit in response to falling behind. "I feel in the recent past if we had had this situation, going from 1-0 up to 2-1 down, we would've struggled so much more than we did today," the Portuguese head coach said. "My feeling is that we played well, but we dropped a little bit of energy. When we are full of energy, we're the better team. My players are giving everything, but we have the potential to do better and sometimes we have these moments. "In the end, we lost two points and we need to get three points in the next game."
