Emergency services were alerted on Friday evening, and attended the woman’s home in in the village of Sáile Chuanna near An Spidéal. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Advertisement She is understood to be from the local area. The scene has been preserved for technical and forensic examination, and a post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death. The body of the woman remains at the scene.
