Gamers are disappointed with the end of Ghost of Yotei

Ghost of Yotei launched earlier this month and many players are reaching the end of the game. Unfortunately, a lot of gamers have voiced frustration with the latter half of the game. To 100% Ghost of Yotei, you need to set aside about 60-70 hours. Depending on your skills and playstyle, playing time may vary. Between work, studying, and wallowing in misery over new health insurance costs, adults have finally reached the end of the game - and it's not what some players had hoped for based on the previous game. Ghost of Yotei lacks replay value compared to Ghost of Tsushima Ghost of Tsushima was a big hit (it currently has an 83% on Metacritic), largely due to its size and complexity. One of the exciting elements was the camps, which created more depth and playability, whether you were playing the main story or exploring. The enemy camps provided various challenges and storylines, like rescuing hostages and liberating the camps, which would reveal more points of interest. Another benefit of the enemy camps is replayability. There were 57 total camps, providing more opportunities for replay after beating the game. In contrast, Ghost of Yotei only has 22 camps. One gamer on Reddit noted: "Twenty-two may sound like a lot, but depending on how you play (for example, if you unlock things progressively with the story instead of rushing all the unlocks), you might get to the end and feel you didn't really get to enjoy your new weapons that much. "And with Act I composing over half the game, you really don’t get to use everything as much as you’d probably like to. It seems exploration and map diversity were heavily prioritized, and combat suffered with the decision." Ghost of Yotei delivers excellent visuals. Image Credit: Sucker Punch Productions While the map is large, it sometimes feels far too open and lacking things to do. It's especially strange that it's so bare when Yotei takes place hundreds of years after Tsushima, so you'd expect them to have built stuff since then... The lack of buildings also takes away the amount of assassination and stealth in Yotei. You end up unlocking a lot of things just as the game is wrapping up, giving players no time really use the cosmetics and items and skills since there are not many camps to explore or replay. It's made the overall pacing of the latter half of the game a bit of a bummer. Still, Ghost of Yotei currently has an 86% on Metacritic. It's no Tsushima, but it's enough to keep fans of the genre entertained (for up to 70 hours). Plus, some DLC could come out in a few months, giving players a bit more to do. It's almost like that firing incident never happened.
