NEWS AND NOTES
*Laker is the last undefeated team in the Bay City area, going for its first 6-0 start since 2022.
*Four area teams appear in the Associated Press state rankings. Ogemaw Heights is No. 10 in Division 5, Laker is No. 5 and Cass City honorable mention in Division 7, and Bay City All Saints is No. 10 in eight-player Division 1.
*All Saints, Cass City, Oscoda, Pinconning, Unionville-Sebewaing and Whittemore-Prescott celebrate homecoming in Week 6.
*Au Gres was able to add Brimley to its schedule for Week 6, successfully filling an open date and giving the Wolverines a nine-game slate.
*Bay City Central travels to Saginaw United to play the first game on United’s new football field.
*Cass City hosts Caro in their age-old M-81 rivalry. Cass City leads the series 34-32-2 since 1950.
