NEWS AND NOTES
*Bay City Western is planning a tribute to longtime teacher, coach and public address announcer Dick Harmon prior to tonight’s game. Harmon died in July at the age of 80.
*Laker is the last undefeated team in the Bay City area and is seeking its first 5-0 start since 2022.
*Five area teams appear in this week’s Associated Press state rankings, including No. 10 Clare and honorable mention Ogemaw Heights in Division 5, No. 6 Laker and No. 9 Cass City in Division 7 and No. 8 All Saints in eight-player Division 1.
*Bay City Western, Beaverton, Ogemaw Heights and Reese celebrate homecoming in Week 5.
