IBM, a global technology innovator, has signed a multi-year collaboration with Agassi Sports Entertainment (ASE) to transform racquet sports through next-generation artificial intelligence and digital innovation. The partnership aims to combine IBM’s cutting-edge technology and expertise with ASE’s vision of creating an advanced digital community for racquet sports enthusiasts worldwide. Under this initiative, ASE and IBM will jointly develop a comprehensive, multi-faceted digital platform designed to redefine how players, fans, and brands engage with racquet sports. Tennis legend Andre Agassi will play an active role in shaping the platform, lending his authentic athletic insight and training methodologies. The first release of the platform’s app is expected in the first half of 2026. Using IBM’s watsonx.ai and computer vision technology, the collaboration will introduce “Agassi Intelligence,” a feature that leverages everyday video footage to analyze athletic movements. The technology will deliver professional-grade coaching insights to players’ mobile devices, helping users refine their game with AI-driven analytics. Beyond performance improvement, the digital platform will serve as a community hub, offering premium content, integrated commercial features, entertainment, and opportunities for players and fans to connect. It will also allow users to engage with Andre Agassi and other athletes through new, immersive digital experiences. “IBM Consulting is investing in ASE’s vision that will help enable access to racquet sports for anyone, wherever they are,” said Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting. “These efforts combine the best of ASE’s inspiring vision with IBM’s AI technology and expertise to deliver data-driven tools that can support racquet sport communities around the world.” Andre Agassi said, “This initiative with IBM embodies everything we believe about sports as a force for positive change. We are developing new technology that makes racquet sports more inclusive, more dynamic, and more impactful than ever before. This is about scale, growth, and health.” Ronald Boreta, Chief Executive Officer of ASE, added, “This is not just an app or a website; it’s creating a digital experience beyond anything in the market today. Working with IBM, we are developing technology that unites play, learning, commerce, and media in one digital home under the iconic Agassi brand.” The joint effort focuses on making racquet sports more equitable and accessible. The project seeks to lower barriers to high-level training and build stronger global connections among racquet sport players. The platform will be hosted on IBM Cloud, with IBM Consulting leading its development, scalability, and ongoing innovation to adapt to the evolving needs of the global racquet sports community.
