Gala Of Giving Raises $400,000 For Charity The 2025 Gala of Giving, which was held at the Hamilton Princess on Saturday [Nov 1], raised $400,000 to support 14 charities in Bermuda. A spokesperson said, “Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited proudly announced that $400,000 has been raised for 14 charities in Bermuda, in its role as the organizer of the 2025 Gala of Giving, which took place at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club on Saturday, November 1. “Guests included the Premier of Bermuda, the Honourable David Burt JP MP, along with 350 executives and individuals from 30 companies attending. The master of ceremonies, comedian Alonzo Bodden, and a 2023 Bermudian of the Year Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, also hosted a charity auction during the event from businesses that contributed prizes, raising approximately $150,000 from individual attendees. “Established in 2023, the Gala of Giving is an annual event that raises funds for local charities. Since its inception, these Galas have collectively raised more than $1 million.” Aspen Executive Chairman and Group CEO Mark Cloutier; Premier David Burt, Mrs. Kristen Burt; Aspen Group President Christian Dunleavy Christian Dunleavy, Aspen Group President and 2025 Gala of Giving Lead Organizer, said: “We were honored to build on the foundation established by Conduit Re, and support a cause that not only strengthens the health and wellbeing of our community, but highlights the important role Bermuda plays as a hub for international business. Special events like the Gala of Giving align perfectly with Aspen’s core values and are a great example that when the industry comes together to lead with a purpose, we can all make a lasting difference.” A spokesperson added, “The 14 beneficiary charities at the 2025 Gala of Giving included a wide range of educational, environmental and health and social services: Bermuda Red Cross, Bermuda SPCA, Bermuda Zoological Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda, Dementia Bermuda, Family Centre, Friends of Hospice, HOME, PALS, Meals on Wheels, SCARS, Tomorrow’s Voices, Vision Bermuda, and Waterstart. “The participating companies were the Bermuda operations of: Amwins, Amy Kessler, Aon, Arch Capital Group Ltd., Ascot, BermudAir, BF&M/Argus, Conduit Re, Davies, Everen, Fidelis Insurance Group, Guy Carpenter, Hiscox Re+ILS, Howden Re, KPMG in Bermuda, Lancashire Insurance Group, Lockton Re, Miller Insurance, Mosaic Insurance, Simons Foundation International, Teneo, and The Waterfront Group.”
