Funny Face returns home

Comic actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has announced his return to his home in Kasoa after recovering from his mental health struggles. In a video shared on his social media on November 5, 2025, Funny Face was seen at the East Legon residence of his colleague Kwaku Manu, where he had been living for almost a year. Kwaku Manu explained that Funny Face moved in with him in December 2024 to support his recovery and has now regained enough stability to return home. According to Kwaku Manu, although Funny Face was moving out, they would remain in close contact through calls, visits, and public events. He added that he would occasionally visit his friend’s home in Kasoa whenever he was in the area. ‘Thank you!’ – Funny Face tells Vanessa after reconciliation, co-parenting agreement Funny Face expressed gratitude to Kwaku Manu for standing by him during his most difficult moments. He also thanked Ghanaians for their unwavering support, saying their prayers and encouragement helped him regain his sanity. “I want to say God bless Ghanaians, everybody who supported me to gain back my sanity, to come back to myself. When I came here, I was not able to control my triggers, but to God be the glory, I am able to,” Funny Face said. The comedian reflected on how much he had grown over the past year, admitting that his battle with mental health had taken a toll on his personal life, particularly his relationship with his baby mama, Vanessa Nicole, and their twin daughters, Ella and Bella. In previous years, Funny Face’s condition led to a series of social media rants directed at his colleagues and family. He was admitted to psychiatric facilities several times in 2024 following repeated breakdowns. However, with Kwaku Manu’s intervention, Funny Face found a support system that helped him regain his footing. He moved in with Kwaku and his family in East Legon, where he gradually recovered and began to rebuild his career. Since then, Funny Face has resumed acting, collaborating with Kwaku Manu on several movie and TV projects, and has also reconciled with his baby mama, Vanessa.
