We got to take a look inside the Hercules-themed Royal Suite on the Disney Destiny. It includes a main living area, kitchenette, two bedrooms, and a private verandah with a whirlpool spa. Unwind in grand style after a day of magic and mischief in your luxurious one-bedroom suite boasting extravagant details and first-class amenities. Immerse yourself in the mythic charm of the Hero Suite, inspired by the legendary Hercules. The 1-Story Royal Suite is 1,507 sq ft, including the balcony and sleeps up to six guests. There are two bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus a verandah with a whirpool spa. Entry and Main Living Space The Stateroom we toured is numbered 13000, and “Hero Suite” text and a Greek symbol greeted us at the door. The main living space has a navy sofa, which folds out into a bed, two mustard yellow velour chairs, and a white round coffee table. The area looks out on the verandah. The carpet has blue and goldtone patterns and flecks. The accent wall has a television, as well as a very large framed artwork of Hercules riding Pegasus. Windows on either side allow guests to look down into the space from the bedroom. The marble floor beneath the staircase is white and gray marble with pieces of pottery surrounding a lightning bolt. Here is what the space looks like from upstairs. The windows go all the way from the floor to the ceiling with a small section of wall in the middle to break it up. Kitchenette and Dining There is a kitchenette with cabinets, marble countertops, and light wood flooring. Guests have access to the panel that controls the lighting, temperature, entertainment, and other smart features. Two smaller cubby areas in the kitchenette include a sink and coffee maker, plus a tea area. The sink is smaller, but a larger one is not really necessary on a cruise. The other cubby has a tea kettle, several varieties of tea bags, and a telephone. The tea comes from Twinnings. The dining space features an oval table with legs that look like Greek columns. 6 chairs surround the table, which overlooks the verandah. Artwork on the wall features an oval portrait of Hercules standing in the middle of a piece of pottery. The chairs are shiny goldtone color with shimmery blue backs that have goldtone flecks. The chandelier is rectangular with circular pendants that hang. Bedroom 1 The staircase is just off of the main living space. There is a blue and white chandelier that hangs from the ceiling at the top of the staircase. The bedroom upstairs has a gold and blue color scheme. A large padded headboard sits behind the bed and the two nightstands, both equipped with plenty of outlets and switches. Goldtone lights sit on each side of the bed. The king-sized bed has white sheets and pillows with a gold and blue runner and accent pillows. Artwork on the wall depicts various scenes from Hercules. A dark yellow chandelier hangs from the middle of the room. On the opposite side of the bed is a television, with blue drapes on each side. There is a small storage space under the television. The carpet has different blue toned swirls under the bed and vanity area. The vanity overlooks the floor-to-ceiling windows. There is a mirror on the wall and smaller mirror that sits on the counter. This is also where you will the telephone and another lamp. There is blue velour chair and footstool next to the window, which has drapes and curtains. The vanity connects to the second nightstand. A brown velour chair sits in front of the vanity. There is a large walk-in closet connected to this bedroom, where the swirled carpet continues. Some of the cabinets do not have doors, while some do. Disney provides hangers, robes, and slippers in the Royal Suite. Bathroom 1 Attached to the first bedroom is a bathroom, which includes a walk-in shower with a waterfall, soaker tub, and vanity. The vanity also has two mirrors, each placed a different way to give some variety to the space. There are marble countertops and goldtone brass faucets. Disney provides towels, tissues, and toiletries. One nice feature of the bathroom is that guests can make the full windows opaque instantly with just the switch on the wall. The portion of the wall behind the soaker tub has dark blue tiles. Bedroom 2 Heading back downstairs is the second bedroom. It also has a king bed, as well as a large beige padded headboard. The sheets and pillows are white, and there is a dark beige runner at the end of the bed. Blue throw pillows provide some extra color to the space. The same chandelier that is upstairs at the top of the staircase is also in this bedroom. On the opposite side of the bedroom is the television, with a cubby space for more storage solutions. Guests can also look out the window at the private verandah. There is a closet with hangers and another closet with cubbies. Guests will also find extra pillows and blankets. Bathroom 2 Connected to the second bedroom is a bathroom. It has a walk-in showers and a vanity with two sinks. The vanity is very similar to the one upstairs, with two mirrors and toiletries. The floor has marble tile in colors white, gray, and blue. One wall has towel racks and hooks. The walk-in shower has marbled tile and blush pink tile. There is a seat and support handles. Built-in shelves house the toiletries. Light switches allow for brighter lights or nighttime lights. Verandah with Whirlpool Spa The Hero Royal Suite has a private balcony, which comes equipped with a whirlpool spa and other amenities. There is a table with four chairs. Two loungers face the ocean. The private whirpool spa has a step and support handle to safely climb in. White walls block this space from the rest of the ship.
