Disney Cruise Line’s first Heroes & Villains ship, the Disney Destiny, sets sail this month. Here’s everything you need to know about the Disney Destiny. Sailing Information The Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage begins on November 20, 2025. The inaugural season will consist of 4- and 5-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Heroes & Villains Theme The Disney Destiny is Disney Cruise Line’s first “Heroes & Villains”-themed ship, featuring Super Hero Minnie, popular Disney Villains, and Marvel theming. Susan Egan, the voice of Megara in Hercules who also originated the role of Belle in the Broadway musical adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, is the ship’s godmother. Speaking of Hercules, the Destiny is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to have a Hercules horn based on “I Can Go The Distance.” The Disney Destiny theme song is streaming online. It’s called “This is Your Destiny” and is performed by Vi Jordan and Dan Reynolds. Like every Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Destiny features unique artwork on display throughout. Bow & Stern Hero Minnie is the featured character on the ship’s bow medallion design. The stern character is Spider-Man, fending off some Spider-Bots. Grand Hall The three-story Grand Hall is inspired by Wakanda, complete with a Black Panther atrium statue. This is where guests begin their voyage when they board the Disney Destiny. It’s the hub of the ship, offering various entertainment and activities. Check out our tour of the space. Deck Plans The ship’s approximate layout was revealed with this cross-section artwork. More accurate deck plans are available on the Disney Cruise Line website. Disney Destiny has 15 decks. Deck 15 is just the Tower Suite, while deck 1’s only guest-accessible areas are the tender lobbies and health center. The Grand Hall is on deck 3 and most entertainment spaces are on decks 3 – 5. Decks 6 – 10 are mostly staterooms. Pools and related venues are on decks 11 – 14. When reading a ship’s deck plan, forward refers to the front of the ship and aft is the back. Starboard is the right and port is the left. Staterooms Standard Inside Staterooms sleep 3 to 4 guests in 169 sq ft, while Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms sleep up to 5 guests across 181 to 349 sq ft. There are also Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs, which are up to 284 sq feet, including the balcony. Stateroom themes include Mulan, Brave, Hercules, and The Incredibles. We stayed in a Big Hero 6-themed Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. Concierge Concierge staterooms include oceanview and verandah options, which sleep up to 5 guests. They are up to 296 sq ft. The concierge Fantasia-inspired 1-bedroom suites sleep up to 5 guests across up to 1,031 sq ft, including a balcony. The 1-story and 2-story royal suites are inspired by Hercules and The Incredibles. These sleep up to 8 guests and are up to 1,759 sq ft, including a private balcony with whirlpool spa. Concierge Destiny Tower Suite The 2-story luxury tower suite is a Marvel-inspired penthouse based on Tony Stark’s style. It sleeps up to 8 guests in 1,966 sq ft, including a balcony. Dining The Disney Destiny’s rotational dining venues are Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, Worlds of Marvel, and 1923. Read more about rotational dining on Disney Cruise Line. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King A new dining experience to the Disney Destiny is Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. The restaurant takes design notes from the savanna and offers African-inspired cuisine. As guests dine, they enjoy a performance of The Lion King songs. Pride Lands is on deck 5. Worlds of Marvel Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Destiny presents the Guardians of the Galaxy show, Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix, as guests dine on a menu inspired by Marvel locations. Like on the Wish and Treasure, Worlds of Marvel is split into two dining rooms. It’s on deck 4. 1923 Named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 is split into the Walt and Roy dining rooms. It features California cuisine with Asian, European, and South American influences. The restaurant is adorned with Disney animation concept art, maquettes, and props. 1923 is on deck 3, off the Grand Hall. Edna À La Mode Sweets This new sweets shop is on deck 11 of the Disney Destiny. It offers themed ice cream, cookies, and more treats, and takes design inspiration from Edna Mode’s lab in The Incredibles and the Auntie Edna short film. Check out our full tour. Marceline Market Marceline Market is a buffet-style dining venue named after Walt Disney’s hometown in Missouri. Located on deck 11, it offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is also on deck 11, located outside next to the pools. It offers quick-service American fare from various counters: Mickey’s Smokestack BBQ, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill, and Minnie’s Delights. Palo Steakhouse One of the adult-exclusive restaurants is Palo Steakhouse, offering premium steak specialties and Italian dishes. It’s located on deck 12 alongside Enchanté. Enchanté Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, Enchanté is a French restaurant by 3-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement. Bars, Lounges, and Cafes Cask & Cannon This pub is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions and films. It’s full of Easter eggs and props, and serves a menu of pirate-inspired drinks. It’s on deck 5. Check out our full tour of the Cask & Cannon bar. Triton Lounge Also on deck 5 is Triton Lounge, a replicated lounge from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Saga Cask & Cannon and Triton Lounge are behind Saga, a 2-story family lounge that takes subtle design inspiration from Black Panther. It’s an entertainment hub offering trivia, music performances, special shows, bingo, and more. At night, it becomes an adult-exclusive lounge with a bar. The Sanctum This Doctor Strange-inspired lounge is located on deck 3, near the Grand Hall. Check out our full tour of The Sanctum. De Vil’s Also near the Grand Hall is De Vil’s, a One Hundred and One Dalmatians-inspired piano lounge. It has a bar, live pianist, and appearances by Cruella de Vil. Check out our full tour of De Vil’s. Café Megara Café Megara is one of two casual walk-up cafés, located just off the Grand Hall on deck 4. Café Merida The second café is Café Merida inspired by the main character of Pixar’s Brave. It’s located on deck 5. Cove Café Cove Café is on deck 13 in the adults-only Quiet Cove area, near Hero Zone. Haunted Mansion Parlor The Haunted Mansion Parlor is a bar that originally debuted on the Disney Treasure. It returns on the Destiny, now available as a Disney Weddings venue. It is next to The Sanctum on deck 3. The Rose The Rose is an adults-exclusive lounge inspired by Beauty and the Beast on deck 12, attached to Palo Steakhouse. Kids Spaces “it’s a small world” nursery! The nursery is for kids 6 months old to 3 years of age. Themed to the classic Disney attraction, the space includes a nap room and play room. It’s supervised by trained Disney counselors who curate activities for the kids. Unlike other youth areas on the ship, the nursery does have reservations and fees. It’s on deck 2. Disney’s Oceaneer Club The entrance to Disney’s Oceaneer Club on the Disney Destiny is inspired by Wreck-It Ralph. There are Vanellope and Ralph statues and a candy-striped slide that leads down from the Grand Hall into the club on deck 2. The club is for guests ages 3 to 10 although there are open houses for guests of all ages to explore the space. The club is split into different themed areas. The Disney Princess-inspired Fairytale Hall includes Rapunzel’s Art Studio, Belle’s Library, and Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus. Marvel Super Hero Academy invites young heroes to meet the Avengers and design their own supersuit. In Star Wars: Cargo Bay, guests can join the Resistance with Chewbacca and Rey, and help care for exotic creatures. The Walt Disney Imagineering Lab teaches kids about designing theme park experiences. Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck is a themed play area for the smallest of cruisers that Captain Minnie and Mickey sometimes visit. Edge Edge is a New York City-inspired hangout space with floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s designed for tweens and teens ages 11 to 14 and is located on deck 5. Vibe & The Hideaway Vibe is a retro Parisian-style loft for teens ages 14 to 17. Here, they can enjoy music, TV, and interactive games. Attached is The Hideaway, which can be closed off for activities designed for older teens. They are on deck 12. Entertainment As on every Disney Cruise Line ship, guests can enjoy Broadway-style shows at the Walt Disney Theatre on decks 3 and 4. Disney Hercules New to the Disney Destiny is Disney Hercules, a retelling of the classic Disney animated film featuring larger-than-life puppets. It includes “Shooting Star,” song originally written for the film but cut from the final project. Frozen, A Musical Spectacular Frozen, A Musical Spectacular tells the story of Anna and Elsa live on stage. It’s also performed on the Disney Wonder and Disney Fantasy. Disney Seas the Adventure Disney Seas the Adventure, also performed on the Disney Wish and Treasure, follows Goofy after Captain Minnie temporarily hands him control of the helm. He goes on an adventure with Disney and Pixar characters. Deck Parties Guests can enjoy two big deck parties during the course of their cruise. On the first day is the Sail Away party, celebrating the beginning of the sailing. Cast Members, Mickey and Friends, and more characters lead guests in high-energy dances. One night of the cruise is “Pirate Night” featuring the Pirates Rockin’ Parlay Party. This includes a musical performance and fireworks at sea. Cinemas Like the Wish and Treasure, the Disney Destiny’s movie theaters are the Alice in Wonderland-themed Wonderland Cinema and Peter Pan-themed Never Land Cinema. They are on deck 4. Grand Hall Entertainment Entertainment in the Grand Hall includes Sounds of Wakanda, a musical performance inspired by the fictional Marvel country. The Grand Hall also hosts Zayah and Gamble’s Traveling Show. The storytellers interact with guests and retell Disney stories. Character Encounters Disney Destiny offers standard meet and greets with the likes of Mickey and Friends, as well as unique character encounters. Villains appearing on the ship include Loki, Cruella De Vil, Dr. Facilier, and Maleficent while heroes include Black Panther and Spider-Man. Guests may spot them in meet and greets and during special entertainment offerings. Times will be in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app during each sailing but there may also be surprise entertainment. Disney Uncharted Adventure Disney Uncharted Adventure is an interactive virtual game across the ship played using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Guests go on a quest to find the missing magic of the Wishing Star. The version of the game on the Disney Destiny includes Avengers. Music, Trivia, Games, and More Each sailing offers a variety of musical performances, trivia and other games, crafts, and more in the bars, lounges, cafes, and entertainment spaces. These will be listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Pools and Slides There are 10 pools and water play areas inspired by Mickey and Friends on the upper decks of the Disney Destiny. AquaMouse This “attraction at sea” is a water coaster featuring two stories. Originally from the Disney Treasure is the Curse of the Golden Egg: Join Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie in a search for a legendary treasure that’s hidden within the mysterious ruins of an ancient temple. But watch out—booby traps and other hilarious mishaps will send you in unexpected directions as you splash, drift and slide around the top deck of the ship on this crazy water ride! New for the Disney Destiny is the Villainous story, Sing a Silly Song: Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on a thrilling trek to the peak of Villain Mountain and be ambushed by some of the most fearsome villains of Disney lore. Help the loveable duo vanquish the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Scar from The Lion King, Chernabog from Fantasia and other nefarious no-gooders—by singing a silly song! Toy Story Splash Zone This Toy Story deck area is anchored by a splash area with larger-than-life bath toys designed for toddlers and young children. The district also includes the Slide-a-saurus Rex, Trixie’s Falls wading pool, and Weezy’s Freezies smoothie bar. Quiet Cove Pool Quiet Cove is an adults-only (18+) area on deck 13 aft. It includes a pool, whirlpool spas, and Cove Café. Spas, Salons, and Fitness Senses Spa Senses Spa offers various spa and beauty treatments, lounge areas, a steam room, a dry sauna, and a calming pool. It’s located on deck 5. Senses Fitness Alongside the spa is the fitness center, with equipment, classes, and personalized training. Hero Zone Test your heroics at the Hero Zone on deck 12. This recreation space has a sports court, playground, game floor, movie theatre, and more. It hosts game show-style competitions and physical challenges. Untangled Salon Salon services are all on deck 4. The Rapunzel-inspired Untangled Salon has a range of manicures, pedicures, and hairstyle services. Hook’s Barbery Hook’s Barbery is not only a barber shop but also a full bar stocked with specialty whiskies. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Little ones can get a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It becomes the Pirates League on Pirate Night. Merchandise Of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney ship without shopping. The shopping district on deck 3 includes Treasures Untold, 3 Wishes, Once Upon a Time, Royal Regalia, and Grand Hall Collection. The flagship store, Mickey’s Mainsail, is on deck 5 with Art on Demand and the Shopping Ambassador desk. Dory’s Forget Me Knots is on deck 11.
