From Lederhosen to beer steins – everything you can expect from Wolverhampton’s Oktoberfest at The Molineux

The iconic Wolverhampton Wanderers Molineux Stadium is set to become a sea of lederhosen and stein cups as the Bavarian Oktoberfest event comes to the Stan Cullis Stand, in Wolverhampton.
Kicking off at 7pm, the Oktoberfest event will see a range of live music, party games, and plenty of beer flow through the home ground of the ‘Old Gold’ for all to enjoy.

It will be the first time that The Molineux has held an Oktoberfest event, with the club saying that the event is the ‘perfect evening’ for groups of family or friends.
Tickets for the event are on sale on the Wolves website for £35 per person, which includes a two-pint stein and a bratwurst on entry.
Talking about the event, a Wolves spokesperson said: “WV1 in the Stan Cullis Stand will become a sea of lederhosen and steins, as the Bavarian party arrives in Wolverhampton on Saturday 11th October.
“The Oktoberfest event, in association with Molson Coors, begins at 7pm, with live music kicking off one hour later, and tickets are priced at £35, which includes entry, a two-pint stein and a bratwurst.”
Entertainment at the event includes a range of party games and live music, combining both live brass with electronic drums, club classics, throwback anthems, and noughties dance music.
Additionally, for those with a spare lederhosen lying around, the event will also feature a ‘best dressed’ competition, with everyone encouraged to don their best Oktoberfest attire.
Catering also includes a tasty list of Bavarian cuisine, which will be available throughout the evening.
The spokesperson added: “There will be best dressed competitions for those in Oktoberfest attire, party games and live music, combining live brass with electronic drums, and performing club classics, throwback anthems and noughties dance music.
“Following the live entertainment, the afterparty will run until midnight, while Bavarian food will be available throughout the evening, as will the bar service.”
