For more than a decade, Srinivas Potluri has focused on tackling some of the hardest problems in technology. He has worked on keeping data safe from cyber threats, building systems that protect privacy, and designing tools to automate manual tasks in ways that businesses and government agencies can use with confidence.
As director of engineering and solutions architect at Express Global Solutions and founder of DonkeyApp, he has not only built systems that keep information secure and help organizations work more efficiently but has also made mentorship a central part of his work, guiding young developers and engineers to create a future where the people building technology understand how to make it safe and easy for others to use.
He says his mission has always been clear: “My goal is to make AI both intelligent and trustworthy — a tool that empowers businesses while safeguarding national interests.”
His Work Blending Academia And Real-World Practicality
Srinivas began his career in enterprise systems engineering, focusing on middleware and integrations at firms like Technosphere IT Solutions before moving into developing cloud architecture at companies including Datalysys, where he began learning how to incorporate the rising AI technology to make the systems more secure and robust.
From the start, his work addressed two major challenges facing modern organizations: how to protect sensitive information in increasingly complex digital networks and how to manage data in ways that meet strict rules for privacy and compliance.
That focus shaped both his academic and professional path. Over the years, Srinivas authored peer-reviewed papers on topics like zero-trust identity systems, automatic intrusion detection, and methods for sharing data across multiple platforms. These studies, which have been cited in international journals like the International Journal In IT & Engineering, the International Journal of AI, BigData, Computational and Management Studies, and the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning, have given companies practical frameworks for strengthening security while keeping pace with rapid changes in technology.
At Express Global Solutions, he worked to turn these ideas into DonkeyApp, a platform built to help businesses handle Salesforce data safely and efficiently. DonkeyApp uses AI to automate compliance checks, prevent unauthorized access, and let teams generate complex data queries in plain language instead of writing code.
By making data management both secure and easier to use, DonkeyApp helps organizations reduce avoidable mistakes, meet changing regulatory standards, and protect information across all their Salesforce systems.
Acting As A Mentor
While Srinivas’s professional work speaks for itself, his approach to leadership goes well beyond building software or publishing research. At Express Global Solutions, he’s spent time mentoring engineers, architects, and interns, teaching them how to write secure code, apply safeguards to AI, and follow strong data protection practices. He has set up step-by-step review processes for software design, data security, and product testing, all methods that make the work safer and also give younger engineers the guidance they need to grow into leadership roles.
He often tells his teams that real leadership is not about titles or awards but about training people who can continue the work and do it even better. By setting clear standards and expecting accountability, he has created a workplace where new ideas are encouraged but security and trust are never overlooked.
As he explains, “Technology only matters when people can use it with confidence. My job is to make sure the next generation of engineers can build systems that are secure, reliable, and easy to trust.”
Becoming An Industry Figure
Over the years, Srinivas’s influence has extended into both academic and industry spheres. Outside the office, he shares what he knows at ITServe forums, where he talks about topics like cloud security, data privacy, and using AI responsibly. He uses examples from real projects (such as building identity systems to protect sensitive information) so that even complex ideas become easy for business leaders and engineers to understand. “At these meetings, I often share lessons from complex projects,” he shares. “What surprises me most is how often people say, ‘I never thought security could be simplified that way.’”
This credibility has allowed him to help shape industry standards at the intersection of compliance, security, and digital transformation. Whether through publications, speaking engagements, or judging global technology competitions, Srinivas has consistently reinforced the principle that security and innovation are not opposing forces but parallel priorities that must evolve together.
Looking ahead, Srinivas plans to scale DonkeyApp so that businesses around the world can use it to keep their data secure and meet stricter compliance rules. One of his biggest goals is to develop tools that can manage the entire lifecycle of employee access (from the moment someone joins a company until the day they leave), automatically adjusting permissions along the way.
With cybercrime projected to cost organizations about $10.5 trillion globally in 2025 alone, tools like these could give companies and government agencies a stronger defense against complex digital threats.
Srinivas Potluri: A Vision Of Security Leadership
For Srinivas Potluri, leading in technology has never been just about creating new systems. It has always been about helping people grow, strengthening communities, and setting standards that keep up with a fast-changing world while staying true to trust, security, and ethics. As he himself puts it, “True leadership is not measured by the systems you build, but by the people you inspire to carry the mission forward.”
His career shows what can happen when technical skill is combined with mentorship and when new ideas are built to benefit not only businesses but society as a whole.
