When I shared some news on Linkedin yesterday, it reopened conversations about how I’m navigating my life goals while pursuing career success.
As I step into the next chapter of my journey — building both a global business and a global family (yes, mother of five loading ) — I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to balance and accelerate your career as a mom.
Here’s the truth: there’s no perfect balance.
I no longer strive for “work-life balance” but for work-life harmony. My career isn’t in competition with motherhood — it’s enhanced by it. And to make my dreams a reality, I have to be firm on my decision to not take on every request that is made of me. Knowing my non-negotiables — both as a mom and a CEO — helps me focus only on the opportunities that align with my mission.
As mothers in business, our stories inspire others. Speaking on global stages while sharing my journey as a mom not only elevates my brand, but also creates space for others to step forward.
If you’re a mom navigating career acceleration, know this: your family is not holding you back — they are fueling your purpose.
I hope my news serves as a reminder that you can build your life as you see fit. There are no rules. Only the ones that you write one day at a time.
