GUJRAT – In a remarkable display of civic responsibility, students at the University of Gujrat stepped forward as social ambassadors during a breast cancer awareness seminar held at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Wednesday. Organized by the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, and supported by the Student Services Centre, the event aimed to equip students with latest knowledge about breast cancer — its prevalence, causes, and preventive strategies — so they could extend this awareness into their communities. The initiative encouraged students to act as social ambassadors, spreading awareness and promoting early detection strategies within their communities. A large number of female students and faculty members from various departments attended the seminar, reaffirming their commitment to raising public awareness about breast cancer.
