After 10 months of blood, sweat, and tears, eight players are set to compete at the 2025 WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The season-ending championship will be played from November 1 to 8 at the King Saud University Sports Arena in a round-robin format.The players to qualify in the singles category this year are Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina, Madison Keys, and Jasmine Paolini. They will fight for the coveted Billie Jean King Trophy, and the winner could take home $5.235 million if undefeated.Two groups have been created. Sabalenka, Gauff, Pegula, and Paolini are in the Steffi Graf group, while Swiatek, Anisimova, Rybakina, and Keys are in the Serena Williams group. Mirra Andreeva and Ekaterina Alexandrova are there as the alternates.The WTA shared the group official portrait and some behind-the-scenes footage on Friday, October 31, as the players put their best foot forward with designer dresses and jewelry. They gathered at Riyadh's Bab AlSaad Resort, where Shay Johnson directed the portrait and Yumna Al-Arashi photographed it. Similar to last year, the Italian player chose her local brand, Brunello Cucinelli, for her dress. She struck a confident pose and stood out in her silver gown.Paolini is the World No. 8 and has a 43-18 win-loss record this season. She won her sole title at the Italian Open, defeating Coco Gauff in straight sets in the final. She reached another WTA 1000 final in Cincinnati but lost to Iga Swiatek. The 29-year-old is looking to win the year-end tournament for the first time in her career. She will face Aryna Sabalenka in her first match on Sunday.Paolini is also participating in the WTA Finals doubles category, as she has teamed up with her compatriot Sara Errani.#2. Amanda AnisimovaNext is Amanda Anisimova, one of the four American players in this year's competition. Making her first appearance in the year-end competition, Anisimova picked the Los Angeles-based brand, A.L.C., as she donned a one-shoulder, light grey dress. She accompanied it with Apoa jewelry and Manolo Blahnik heels.With a 45-16 record, the World No. 4 reached consecutive Grand Slam finals at Wimbledon and the US Open, though she lost to Swiatek and Sabalenka, respectively. However, she earned points by winning a couple of WTA 1000 events in Qatar and Beijing.The 24-year-old will play her first match against the next person on this list, Elena Rybakina, on Saturday.#3. Elena RybakinaThe last entrant in the 2025 WTA Finals, Elena Rybakina, wore a light-brown dress from Staud and added David Webb earrings. She looked like a "Hollywood movie star from the '40s," as a fan commented on WTA's Instagram post.The 2022 Wimbledon champion is ranked sixth in the world and has won 53 of her 72 matches so far this season. She won two WTA 500 tournaments in Strasbourg, France, and Ningbo, China. Rybakina copped criticism from the tennis world last week for withdrawing from the Pan Pacific Open as soon as she sealed her WTA Finals spot.#4. Coco GauffFNAAs 2025‘s Style Influencer of the Year, Coco Gauff, had the fourth-best outfit of the lot. She turned up in a blackcurrant high-neck dress by Italian brand Miu Miu, while wearing Apoa jewelry. The defending champion was excited to show her fashion sense to the world, as she said (via Town & Country Magazine):“It was nice to see everyone dressed up in different fashions and styles, and it’s always fun to get glammed up. We go all year, tournament to tournament, in sweats and workout gear. This was an opportunity to showcase our personalities and our style, and be showcased in a different light as a whole."The World No. 3's record for this year reads 47-14. She beat Sabalenka in the French Open final, despite losing the first set, and also won the WTA 1000 Wuhan Open by defeating Jessica Pegula. The two players will clash in Riyadh on Sunday.In last year's final, Gauff downed China’s Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2) to win the tournament for the first time.#5. Madison KeysMadison Keys tops the second half of the list. She opted for an olive green dress from Lela Rose and jewelry from Brilliant Earth, both American brands.Her performance in the first month of the year was enough to get her a WTA Finals berth. Keys beat Pegula to win the WTA 500 event in Adelaide and followed it up by trouncing two-time defending champion Sabalenka in the Australian Open final. It was the 30-year-old's first Major.The World No. has won 37 out of 50 matches in the ongoing season. Keys' first appearance at the WTA Finals came in 2016 in Singapore, where she failed to reach the last four. She will begin her campaign in Riyadh by squaring off against Iga Swiatek on Saturday.#6. Aryna SabalenkaEven if she didn't have the best dress on the day, Aryna Sabalenka made up for it with her oozing confidence in the group portrait. The Belarusian donned a salmon pink cape-back gown from Italian brand Alberta Ferretti. She completed her look with an Audemars Piguet watch, a Swiss manufacturer.The World No. 1 has lost only 11 matches out of 70 in 2025. While Keys and Gauff beat her in the Australian Open and French Open finals, respectively, Sabalenka bounced back by winning her second US Open title. The four-time Major winner was also victorious in Adelaide, Miami, and Madrid.#7. Jessica PegulaJessica Pegula chose the German brand, Talbot Runhof, for her brown, off-shoulder, tailfish gown. She wore a gown in the shade of orange from the Saudi brand Lurline.The World No. 2 must be drawing confidence from her solid 61-15 record in 2025. Her three titles this season came at Wimbledon, where she defeated Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the final, Cincinnati (WTA 1000), and Korea (WTA 500).
