Thousands gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday to honour the life of Charlie Kirk, the Turning Point USA co-founder who was assassinated on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. The memorial brought together political leaders, faith figures, colleagues, and friends, with supporters holding signs and chanting “USA.” Pastor Rob McCoy’s Opening Remarks Pastor Rob McCoy, co-chair of Turning Point Faith and Kirk’s personal pastor, gave the opening remarks. He described it as Turning Point’s largest gathering ever and said, “Charlie Kirk did in 31 years on this earth … had more lifetimes in 31 years, and all of us have in the entirety of our own.” He praised Kirk’s faith, saying, “Charlie looked at politics as an on-ramp to Jesus. He knew if he could get all of you rowing in the streams of liberty, you’d come to its source. And that’s the Lord.” Kirk’s Movement Is Only Beginning: Mikey McCoy Kirk’s former chief of staff, Mikey McCoy, said, “Charlie was not silenced. His movement is only beginning. The voices of millions globally have been awakened.” He urged conservatives to continue challenging culture, saying, “We won’t cower in fear, we will never surrender. We are resolved to live free from lies.” Kirk’s Death Will Save Western Civilization: Jack Posobiec Conservative commentator Jack Posobiec said Kirk’s death revealed “ugliness” in society but called it a pivotal moment. He said, “We will never, ever let the left, the media or the Democrats forget the name of Charlie Kirk. This will be viewed as the turning point that led to the saving of western civilization.” Inspired By Kirk: Rep Anna Paulina Luna Rep Anna Paulina Luna shared her personal story, “There would be no Congresswoman Luna without Charlie Kirk.” She said that she joined Turning Point USA instead of attending medical school. Luna compared Kirk to historical figures, saying, “They changed the outcome of eras just as Charlie changed the trajectory of our modern fight against cultural decay and ideological tyranny.” Dr Ben Carson Honours Kirk’s Intellect And Faith Dr Ben Carson praised Kirk’s intelligence, defending him against critics who called him “ignorant” for not having a college degree. “Some say Charlie Kirk was ignorant because he didn’t have a college degree? I’ve seen him run CIRCLES around people with college degrees,” Carson said. Until then, buckle up, here we go.” Stacy Sheridan Recounts Kirk’s Generosity Kirk’s former colleague Stacy Sheridan recounted his help during personal tragedies. “Charlie had critical medication and an oxygen machine sent to my doorstep without my knowledge. He said, “I lost an employee, but now she’s my boss.” Rebecca Dunn recalled how 20-year-old Kirk raised $25,000 in two days to launch Turning Point USA. “Almost 12 years ago, I met this bright young man…Charlie never disappointed,” she said. What Frank Turek Said Frank Turek emotionally described running with the security team during Kirk’s assassination and praised the team’s quick response. “Charlie’s been like a son to me…No father would stand back and go, no, you just take my son. Take him. I’ll meet you at the hospital.” He said, “He knew that the purpose of life is to know Jesus and to make him known, to make heaven crowded.” Sergio Gor Remembers Kirk’s Courage And Spirit Sergio Gor, director of the White House Personnel Office, described Charlie Kirk as a fearless advocate for America and a close friend known for his humour and compassion. He said Kirk embodied the MAGA spirit, never backing down and fighting for the country’s future. Gor added that Kirk saw his work as more than politics, calling him “a modern-day disciple who championed America’s greatness not just here, but around the world. He understood we are in a spiritual battle for the heart and soul of the nation, and that commitment ultimately made him a target.” He also spoke about Kirk’s personal side, saying, “Charlie was funny, cared deeply about people, and was always ready for the next adventure.” What Susie Wiles Said White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles praised Charlie Kirk for his dedication and leadership. She said, “Charlie did not just promise. He delivered. Charlie and his team embraced the mission completely, and they didn’t just meet expectations, they exceeded them in every way.” Wiles emphasized Kirk’s role in energizing young voters, calling it “Charlie’s army” and shared how he made sure they understood the stakes of the political process.
