It’s been 25 years since the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation first began providing support to hospitals throughout the region, and to celebrate this major milestone, the foundation is preparing to host its signature Fraser Valley Grand Gala fundraiser. This night features a wide range of fun, including a dinner, live performances, auctions, and much more. All of the money made will go toward the purchase of new technology for Fraser Valley medical facilities, with the 2025 goal being to raise $500,000 for an Endoscopic Ultrasound Processor. Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation executive director Elizabeth Harris explained that this device is able to provide advanced diagnostics to detect lung cancer and other lymphatic and respiratory conditions. “Achieving our $500,000 goal means providing our hospitals with the capacity to deliver faster, more precise diagnoses that directly save lives,” said Harris. “This anniversary is not just a celebration of our history, but a pledge to our future.” The upcoming gala, which is presented by Snowcrest Foods, is responsible for providing a large chunk of this fundraising, with the 2024 event leading to more than $200,000 for Fraser Valley hospitals. To assist the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation with its 25-year anniversary fundraising goal, locals can purchase tickets for the Fraser Valley Grand Gala. The gala takes place on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre in Abbotsford. The cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner starting at 7 p.m. Single tickets are $225, with entire tables for eight people available for $1,800.
