A group of four women and their children devoured £300 worth of steaks and cocktails before brazenly walking out without paying. Cheers opened in Norwich in January after success in their two other branches in Thetford and Bury St Edmunds. The steak restaurant describes itself as "a different concept of dining" and "a unique style restaurant ". A message on it's website reads: "The goal of Cheers is to make every guest experience a great and exciting one and to serve good quality food. It’s a great place for almost any occasion, providing you an excellent service with professional and friendly customer service while making the experience memorable." But not all customers are willing to pay for the 'excellent' service, as earlier this month the owner of the eatery, Andrea Marinho discovered. The four women fled Cheers restaurant in Norwich, after tucking into steaks and shots of Baileys on October 5, just after 6pm. According to the bill shown to The Sun, the women tucked into over £130 worth of steaks and downed 11 shots of Baileys worth £71.50. Speaking to The Sun Andrea said: "They need to be accountable because it just cannot keep happening. we have a lot that we need to do every single day. We are new to Norwich. "We opened in January, so it’s still new. We still try to bring people in. The first few months is always a struggle. There’s always a lot going and then things like that happen. It’s frustrating and really sad. What kind of model are they for their children?" A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: "Police are releasing CCTV images of four women they would like to speak to in connection with a theft. The incident happened on 5 October at 6.10pm on Surrey Street, Norwich when a group of women entered a restaurant and failed to pay for their meal before leaving. "Anyone who recognises those featured in the images or has any information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Norfolk Police via any of the following channels quoting reference: 36/72063/25."
