Former WWE and ECW star Justin Credible, real name PJ Polaco, has reached out to fans for financial help. The request comes after he was involved in a car accident last week.

In a social media post, Polaco explained that he was in a hospital in Philadelphia following the accident on Thursday night. After being discharged, he found himself without the necessary funds to travel home.

This request comes after a long and public battle with personal issues for the former champion. Polaco has been open about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, a journey that has included multiple arrests and time in WWE-sponsored rehabilitation.

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT – JANUARY 28: A WWE logo shines from the WWE world headquarters on January 28, 2024 in Stamford, Connecticut. WWE founder Vince McMahon resigned from the WWE and its parent company TKO as executive chairman and board of directors following allegations of sexual assault in a Connecticut lawsuit. A former employee Janel Grant accused McMahon, 78, of sexual assault and sexually trafficking her.

In the past, he has thanked WWE for their support and cited figures like Diamond Dallas Page and Jake “The Snake” Roberts as sources of help. Despite periods of sobriety, he has been candid about his relapses and the difficulty of long-term recovery.

Polaco is best known for his time as Justin Credible in ECW, where he became a World Heavyweight Champion. He also performed in WWE as Aldo Montoya and had an impressive eight reigns as the WWE Hardcore Champion.

Polaco’s public request highlights the challenges that many former wrestlers face after their careers have ended. The wrestling community has often rallied to support its own through organizations like the Cauliflower Alley Club, which provides financial aid to wrestlers in need. As of Wednesday morning, there has been no public update on Polaco’s situation.
