Former WWE Star Cedric Alexander Signs with TNA
Alexander has been a regular on TNA programming for several months, but his official status was unconfirmed until now. The report notes that he is now under an official TNA contract.
He became a free agent after his WWE contract expired in February 2025. Alexander made his TNA debut in July and was immediately placed into the X-Division storyline.

For a time, there was speculation that Alexander might join his former Hurt Business stablemates in AEW. The Fightful report confirms that he is committed to TNA, though the length of his new contract has not been disclosed.
As a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Alexander’s style is well-suited for TNA’s X-Division. His signing adds a veteran presence to the roster.
Recent TNA Championship Challenge
This confirmation comes just after Alexander competed in a key match for the promotion. He was featured at the TNA Victory Road special event on September 26.
At the event, Alexander challenged Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship. The match was one of the main attractions of the show.
Following his unsuccessful challenge for the X-Division Championship at Victory Road, Alexander’s next steps are not yet clear. No match or opponent has been announced for him for TNA’s biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory, leaving his path forward a key point of interest.
