Key Points: Malik Beasley shared his thoughts on a possible return The ex-Pistons guard had a strong 2024-25 Fans stumped for his return The Detroit Pistons are rolling along at 5-2 so far this season with plenty of season left to go, and have shown once again that they are one of the most talented young teams in the NBA. Detroit’s three-point shooting got a boost this offseason when sharpshooter Duncan Robinson was added to the roster, but the Pistons’ outside scoring also took a hit as former three-point ace Malik Beasley was the target of a federal gambling investigation and wasn’t brought back to the team. On Tuesday, a video of Beasley was shared detailing his current mindset on a possible return to the NBA. Beasley revealed who he would like to play for should he get the opportunity to play professionally again. Beasley gave an update during which he revealed he would like to play for Detroit again some day. “If I do go back to the NBA, it’s gonna be with the Pistons,” he reportedly said. “I haven’t signed anything yet, but I have my strongest ties there. I had my best season there last year, and hopefully I can fit back in with the team.” Beasley is no longer under investigation according to his attorneys which could clear a path for him to return to the league.
