Former Oasis Manchester pop-up gets new lease of life with world’s ‘first ever’ store

This summer’s Oasis pop-up shop in the city centre is to be given a new lease of life this week as it is taken over by a world-first concept. Ahead of the iconic Manchester band’s series of homecoming shows at Heaton Park , the group opened their first ever designated pop-up shop in Spinningfields offering fans a chance to buy limited edition merch, including T-shirts, vinyl records and posters. The pop-up was met with huge crowds from fans across the world, and also featured the first opportunity for people to get their hands on this year’s Oasis x Adidas collection. Other pop-up stores also opened in Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Birmingham. The unit, which is situated on The Avenue opposite the Oast House, is now set to reopen this Wednesday (September 17) as part of an ‘innovative’ new pop-up from the world’s leading darts manufacturer Target Darts, which will feature a host of famous faces from the sport. Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here The Manchester pop-up’s opening day will feature appearances from PDC World Champion Luke Littler , 16-time World Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and 2025 Premier League stars Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Chris Dobey, and Stephen Bunting. Over its two-and-a-half week residency, the pop-up will also feature a range of interactive elements, including five state-of-the-art Omni lanes, featuring fast auto-scoring, detailed performance tracking and next-level gameplay. People can also get hands-on with the latest Target Darts products and exclusive merchandise only available at the pop-up. The grand opening of the pop-up will take place at 12.30pm on Wednesday (September 17) and will see the brand unveil its new products for the very first time at the same time as the official worldwide online launch. The pop-up, which will be open until September 28, will also host a series of meet-and-greet sessions with Phil Taylor and coaching sessions with 2020 Premier League winner and Sky Sports commentator Glen Durrant. James Tattersall, Managing Director at Target Darts, said: “Manchester has always been a great city full of energy, passion and a strong community, which matches our spirit at Target and there couldn’t have been a more perfect place to launch our pop-up. “At Target, we’re always looking to push the boundaries of the darts fan experience, and with this pop-up we wanted to create a true world first experience that celebrates the sport in an entirely new way. “This is going to be an amazing event, not just for die-hard darts fans, but for anyone who loves the thrill of the oche. We can’t wait to welcome everyone from Manchester and all over to test our latest products, meet their darts heroes, and dive into the ultimate Target Darts experience.” Due to an expected large turnout, Target is offering fans the chance to buy a ticket to guarantee entry to the Pop-Up Shop on launch.
