A beloved Gogglebox star previously suffered a 10-week 'bleed on brain' and bravely opened up about the ordeal - but where is she now? Retired music teacher Elaine joined the long-running programme back in 2023 with son Seb. And it’s fair to say it didn’t take them long to become a hit with fans. In 2024 though, fans were left worried that Elaine and Seb, who are from the Forest of Dean, had left the show after disappearing from screens. However, in 2025, Elaine bravely opened up about her terrifying health scare after she suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which had caused a bleed on the brain. Talking in May, Elaine revealed she suddenly lost total vision while behind the wheel. Ahead of the scary incident, Elaine had been suffering with forgetfulness - but she dismissed it as getting older and being tired. However, she had no idea that she had suffered a bleed on her brain from a hemorrhagic stroke, which had been there for 10 weeks before the incident. Revealing she was “completely shocked and heartbroken” by the news, Elaine added to Need To Know: “I struggled to make sense of the world around me.” Elaine went on : "They told me part of my brain had been irreversibly damaged. And as there wasn’t anything they could do, this was just who I was now." She was diagnosed in April 2024 following a CT scan and an MRI. Elaine has also since developed double vision and paralysis on her left side. She had to give up driving and her job too. She added about her health condition: "It’s had such a huge impact on my life. I’ve had to accept that I must use a wheelchair for anything other than moving very short distances." Nowadays, Elaine has been keeping her followers updated on her day-to-day life via her social media page, while raising awareness for disabilities. Recently, she took to her Instagram and spoke about a concert she attended. She said: “I’ve gone to gigs all my adult life. What stops me now? I can’t stand anymore, I can’t stand for long periods of time.” Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
