The Central Business District (CBD) still has some major demolitions yet to be completed. It includes the former central police station following the approval of after its demolition permit by the council. The building was damaged during the earthquake, with its interior and exterior clearance completed, waiting for demolition to be done by the approved contractor. Members of the public are urged to take extra precautions when demolition works starts soon.
