The Garmin Epix Pro was once the flagship sports watch in the brand’s line-up, and while it has since been superseded by the Garmin Fenix 8 and Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, it remains an outstanding device packed with features. Given that you can now get the Garmin Epix Pro for $499 at Amazon — a $500 saving and its lowest ever price — it’s better value than the newer Fenix watches. It offers top-class sports tracking and navigation features, all packed into a rugged and attractive design. I expected the Garmin Epix Pro to be one of several Garmins reduced in the Black Friday sales, but I anticipated its price dropping to around $600, so to see it under $500 is a pleasant surprise. While the month is young, I wouldn’t expect this price to drop lower as we get nearer to Black Friday itself. Although the Epix Pro doesn’t have all the latest features you get on newer Garmins, such as a mic and speaker and the satellite and LTE connectivity on the Fenix 8 Pro, it still has everything you need and more to track workouts, activity and guide you through adventures. It has offline maps, extensive training analysis and smarts like music storage, and this deal is on the lighter and tougher titanium model of the Epix Pro. That’s the watch I used myself for a year and used to train for and run the London Marathon in 2024. I never felt like I was missing any features during that time, and while the Garmin Fenix 8 and Fenix 8 Pro are improvements, they’re not worth the $600+ extra you’d have to pay to get them right now instead of the Epix Pro.
