Football's 'new power couple' sparked up romance while playing at Premier League club

Football has a ‘new power couple’ to take the baton from Alisha Lehmann and Douglas Luiz . The former Aston Villa duo were football’s most prominent couple with their relationship gaining extra attention thanks to Lehmann’s tag as the ‘world’s sexist player’ and the Switzerland international being the most followed footballer on social media . Lehmann and Luiz cemented that status even further when they became the first-ever boyfriend-girlfriend transfer when the pair both sealed a move to Juventus from Aston Villa in 2024. However, their relationship is said to have ended earlier this year, and both stars have since left the Turin giants, with Luiz returning to the Premier League on loan at Nottingham Forest and Lehmann making a bold move to join Como. But a new couple is set to take their place with Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi, 28, and Cherries women’s centre-back Kelci-Rose Bowers, 21, thought to have started dating in the summer of 2024. Senesi moved to the south coast of England in 2022 from Feyenoord and seemingly helped Bowers settle when she joined on an initial loan deal in March 2024, before her switch was made permanent just months later. Bowers’ fame goes beyond the football pitch as she’s also a model who lives a glamorous lifestyle. In 2024, Bowers is said to have been signed to modelling agency FORTE and enjoys lavish getaways around Europe to unwind. Having spent some of their summer break together in Ibiza, Senesi also took Bowers to Buenos Aires in his native Argentina, where he grew up playing for San Lorenzo. Bowers has 158,000 followers on Instagram and shares an insight into her private life as well as her football career at Bournemouth. Just last week, Bowers posted her and Senesi going pumpkin picking ahead of Halloween, with her sharing a loving snap of the two kissing behind a pumpkin. And when she’s not playing herself, Bowers is also a regular in the Bournemouth crowd as she attended Manchester City and Crystal Palace away at the end of last season wearing a shirt with her lover’s name on the back. While their positions are well matched to each other, their upbringing and football journey couldn’t be any different. As Senesi was progressing through San Lorenzo’s academy before making the move to Europe, Bowers was paving the way for a career that would take her from the town of Fareham to join Chelsea U21s before heading Stateside to play for Louisiana State University. She later returned to England at Portsmouth before moving to Bournemouth, where her Cherries team are top of the Women’s National League Southern Division.
