Australian influencer Stacey Hatfield has died from an “extremely rare complication” after giving birth to her son. She was 30 years old. Hatfield’s husband Nathan Warnecke said his wife died late last month in an Instagram post on Sunday, Oct. 19. “Stace passed on the 29th September 2025 after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home,” Warnecke wrote in the post. “Tragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital. Hospital staff were amazing and did the utmost to help, but ultimately nothing could be done despite their best efforts.” Hatfield was known for promoting toxin-free lifestyle and foods with natural ingredients through her business Natural Spoonfuls, which she founded in 2019. The popular Melbourne nutritionist and food influencer developed a large social media following for sharing recipes for these health-conscious meals, specifically on Instagram. By 2023, Hatfield has expanded her entrepreneurial experience by developing the social media content creation company “Waffl,” according to Warnecke’s Instagram post. He said the brand “brought social media content development for food brands on a large scale.” “I’m so proud of her for everything she achieved in her professional life and I was privileged enough to be able to help her complete her vision throughout the years,” Warnecke wrote of his late wife. A GoFundMe, which has been set up to support Hatfield’s family following her death, indicated that she died just two months shy of the couple’s first wedding anniversary. Funds raised from the campaign will go toward Hatfield’s funeral and memorial costs, baby supplies and possible childcare, household bills and to cover time off work for Warnecke. “Every dollar raised will give Nathan the time and space that he needs to begin the long road to healing and ensure that Axel is surrounded by the love and support he needs and that Stacey would have wished for,” the GoFundMe reads. “If you are unable to donate, please kindly consider sharing this campaign so we can reach as many people as possible to help let Nathan and Axel know they are not alone,” it continued. “Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”
