Andhra Pradesh’s industrial policies must remain competitive and business-friendly by drawing lessons from best practices adopted in other States and countries, observed Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kondapalli Srinivas. During a review meeting with officials of the MSME Department and the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) at the Secretariat on Monday, the Minister directed them to prioritise the development of essential infrastructure in all 175 MSME parks coming up across the State. He emphasised the need to expedite works related to roads, water supply, and power connections to facilitate industrial growth. He urged officials to align their efforts with the State’s new industrial policy, which aims to accelerate MSME development and promote entrepreneurship. Mr. Srinivas also instructed that the approval process for new industrial units should not face unnecessary delays and that entrepreneurs should be encouraged to make effective use of the incentives extended by the government.
