Ingram Micro, a business-to-business platform company serving the global technology ecosystem, has appointed Flavio Moraes Junior as managing director and chief country executive for India with effect from October 1, it said on Thursday.Moraes will succeed Navneet Singh Bindra, who retires after more than two decades with the company.“India is one of our most important growth markets, and I am confident Flavio is the right leader to take that business forward,” said Diego Utge, global group president at Ingram Micro.Moraes takes charge of Ingram Micro’s India operations after serving as chief executive of Ingram Micro Brazil since 2021. He has over 25 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications sectors, having previously worked with Claro, Embratel and Reuters.“India represents one of the fastest-growing technology markets in the world, with tremendous opportunities ahead. I look forward to moving to our India headquarters in Mumbai,” Moraes said.Moraes holds a degree in electrical engineering from Centro Universitário FEI, an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas and has also attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Programme in Leadership and Innovation.
