Mumbai: A video documenting a first-class journey on the Mumbai–Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express has gone viral, giving viewers a peek into the luxury and hospitality offered aboard one of India’s most premium trains. Shared on Instagram by user Akshay Malhotra, the clip showcases the experience of travelling in the train’s First Class AC, which costs Rs 5,500. Luxury on Wheels Malhotra explains that the fare includes more than just travel—it also covers a host of amenities such as fresh sheets, pillows, a mirror, a newspaper, and most notably, a private cabin. Passengers are welcomed with a mango juice drink, followed by tea, kachori, and snacks. The content creator explored the onboard shower, equipped with a geyser, hand shower, towel, and toiletries, highlighting the attention to detail in service. Video: Gourmet Meals at Every Stop The culinary experience impressed Malhotra as well. Hot soup and chilli paneer were served early in the journey, followed by dinner as the train passed Surat and Vadodara. The meal included paneer, dal, vegetables, roti, rice, salad, and ice cream for dessert. Later, he took a stroll along the First AC corridor before retiring to his private cabin. Breakfast the next morning comprised poha, upma, cutlets, bananas, and hot tea. The train arrived at Delhi right on time at 8:30 am. Social Media Reactions Malhotra captioned the video: “India’s Most Luxurious & Fastest Rajdhani Express First Class Journey | Private Room with Unlimited Food.” Netizens were quick to react, with many expressing excitement over the train’s comfort and services. Some, however, pointed out the cost comparison with domestic flights. “Bhai, 5000 me flight me chala jata,” one user joked. Others asked practical questions about booking tickets for December or whether pets are allowed in private cabins. The viral clip has sparked widespread interest, showing that for those seeking comfort, fine dining, and privacy, a train journey can rival even air travel—albeit at a similar price point.
