Fired WWE Raw Star Scheduled for Rare Indie Appearance

A former WWE superstar who previously performed on “Monday Night Raw” is scheduled for a rare indie appearance. House of Glory has announced that former two-time WWE NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler will be making her promotional debut on Nov. 15. She will be performing inside Suffolk Credit Union Arena in New York against an opponent to be announced.

This will be a collaboration event involving House of Glory and Big Event EXS. House of Glory already announced that recently released “WWE SmackDown” star Andrade will also be competing on the show. Maki Itoh, who recently wrapped up her deal with TJPW, is also scheduled to perform.

Shayna Baszler’s Future Post-WWE

Baszler was unexpectedly released from her WWE contract back in May. The news surprised fans, as she was featured regularly on “WWE Raw” as a member of the Pure Fusion Collective team with Zoey Stark. Three months prior to Baszler’s release, Sonya Deville, who had been a part of the group, was told her deal wouldn’t be renewed. Baszler’s last match on WWE TV took place during the April 11 episode of “Friday Night SmackDown.”

Prior to being let go by WWE, Baszler worked GCW’s “Bloodsport XIII” show. She defeated Stardom wrestler Konami. Since then, Baszler hasn’t performed on the indie scene, although she is booked to face TNA Wrestling star Dani Luna under the Prestige Wrestling banner on Oct. 6.

Baszler was reportedly listed as a producer for the July 9 episode of “NXT,” but she has yet to return to WWE in an official capacity. Several reports have claimed that WWE wants to bring Baszler back as a producer and coach, but it appears “The Queen of Spades” isn’t interested in hanging up her boots just yet.
