At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit on October 29. The information was reported by UzA. It is noted that the high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev and other officials. According to the visit agenda, high-level talks will be held in Tashkent to discuss the expansion of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland, particularly in the political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Special attention will be given to increasing mutual trade volume and establishing cooperation in agriculture, ecology, chemistry, energy, digitalization, mining, and other innovative industries. ’’The sides will also consider cooperation in the fields of labor migration, culture, and the introduction of advanced technologies in the education system,’’ the report said. It is also noted that the parties will exchange views on pressing international issues, including mutual support within multilateral structures. As reported earlier, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit. Pellegrini is attending the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference as an honorary guest.
