The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the road on Saturday night as they travel to take on the Charlotte Hornets in an interconference matchup. Minnesota enters Saturday’s game with a 2-3 record after dropping Wednesday’s game at home to the Los Angeles Lakers. In Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers, Julius Randle led the way for the Timberwolves as he recorded 33 points, five rebounds and six assists while Jaden McDaniels added 30 points and seven rebounds of his own. Now the Timberwolves will look to end their two-game losing streak on Saturday night against the Hornets as they seek their third victory of the season. On the other side, the Hornets are also looking for their third win of the season as they enter Saturday’s game with a 2-3 record after losing to the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. LaMelo Ball led the way for the Hornets in Thursday’s loss as he ended the game with 17 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists while Collin Sexton recorded 19 points and four assists off the bench. While both teams enter Saturday’s matchup looking for their third win of the season, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries. Timberwolves Injury Report, Will Anthony Edwards Play? For the Timberwolves, they have two players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s game, including star guard Anthony Edwards. Minnesota has ruled out Edwards due to a right hamstring strain that has sidelined him for their last two games and is expected to keep him out for at least the next week. With Edwards sidelined, Mike Conley and Terrence Shannon Jr. could be in line for larger roles while the Timberwolves will need others to step up with him out. The Timberwolves have also listed Jaylen Clark as questionable due to a left calf strain that has sidelined him the last two games. Hornets Injury Report, Will LaMelo Ball Play? On the other side, the Hornets have four players listed on their injury report for Saturday’s matchup, including Ball. Charlotte has listed Ball as questionable due to a right ankle injury and if he is sidelined, it would be a massive blow to the Hornets. If Ball is sidelined on Saturday, Tre Mann and Sexton could have larger roles against the Timberwolves while they will need others to step up as they try to win their third game of the season. The Hornets have also ruled out Grant Williams, Brandon Miller and Josh Green for Saturday’s game as they continue to be sidelined.
