Final Injury Report for Pelicans-Suns, Will Zion Williamson, Jalen Green Play?

The New Orleans Pelicans are on the road on Monday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Suns in a Western Conference matchup. It has been a rough start to the season for New Orleans as they enter Monday’s game with a 2-7 record after losing to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night. In Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, Trey Murphy III led the way for the Pelicans as he recorded 41 points, nine rebounds and three assists while Jeremiah Fears added 18 points and three assists of his own. Now New Orleans will try to bounce back and pick up their third victory of the season in Monday’s matchup against the Suns. On the other side, the Suns enter Monday’s contest with a 5-5 record after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers on the road on Saturday night. Devin Booker led the way for Phoenix in Saturday’s victory as he ended the game with 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists while Mark Williams recorded 19 points and six rebounds. While both teams are looking to pick up a key victory in Monday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple players due to injuries. Pelicans Injury Report, Will Zion Williamson, Jordan Poole Play? For the Pelicans, they have four players listed on their injury report for Monday’s game, including both Zion Williamson and Jordan Poole. New Orleans has ruled out Williamson due to a left hamstring strain as he will miss his fourth consecutive game. With Williamson sidelined, Saddiq Bey and Herbert Jones will likely continue to have a larger role. The Pelicans have also ruled out Jordan Poole for Monday due to a left quad strain that is expected to sideline him for at least a week. With Poole sidelined, Fears, Jordan Hawkins and Jose Alvarado could be in line for larger roles once again. Dejounte Murray also remains sidelined for Monday’s game as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles while Yves Missi is listed as questionable due to an illness. Suns Injury Report, Will Jalen Green Play? On the other side, the Suns have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out Jalen Green. Phoenix has ruled out Green due to a hamstring injury that he reaggravated in Saturday’s victory over the Clippers. Of course, the young guard made his season debut on Thursday against the Clippers after being sidelined since the preseason with a hamstring injury and according to Josh Gambadoro, he is expected to miss at least a month due to the injury. This is a massive blow for the Suns, especially after Green shined in his Suns debut, and with him now sidelined once again, Grayson Allen will likely be in line for a larger role. Fans can catch Monday’s matchup between the Pelicans and Suns from Phoenix at 9:00 p.m. EST.
