The FIDE Chess World Cup 2025 takes place on the beautiful shores of Goa, India. The tournament will feature the world’s best chess players competing in a dramatic knock-out format for a share of USD 2,000,000 in prize money and for one of three coveted spots in the 2026 Candidates Tournament. The FIDE World Cup is one of the most significant events on the global chess calendar, and it is returning to India after 23 years. The tournament will be held at a resort in North Goa from October 31 to November 27, 2025, offering a total prize fund of USD 2 million.
