A woman’s Reddit post is going viral- yet again reflecting India’s poor women’s safety status. Taking to social media, the said woman narrated a rather scary incident that allegedly happened while she was travelling on a train. As per the woman’s post, after she got her ticket checked from the TTE, the man allegedly somehow managed to find her Instagram ID- all to send her a request. The incident was quick to leave the woman feeling a ‘little creepy’. Speculating further, the woman stated that the TTE possibly found her name through her ticket details. Further calling the incident something alarming as the TTE used a passenger’s personal information, the woman turned to the internet, asking if it’s something that has happened with others as well. The post went viral and drew many reactions. Most suggested that the woman not accept the request, while some advised her to file a complaint against the TTE. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “TC checked my ticket and then my Instagram LOL,” the post read. “I was travelling by train recently and later noticed that the TC who checked tickets in my coach somehow found me on Instagram and sent me a follow request. I’m guessing he got my name from the reservation chart. I felt a little creepy honestly because that’s the private info passengers give for travel. Was wondering if this is pretty common and has anyone experienced anything similar?” the post further read. The post was shared on Reddit, by the handle ‘Active-Parking2365’.
