FBoy Island star mocks Mark Sanchez stabbing with Halloween costume

A popular comedian sparked controversy with another flagrant Halloween costume. Benedict Polizzi stirred the pot on Tuesday by revealing his latest costume that mocked embattled former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who was injured and arrested during a violent incident with an elderly truck driver on Oct. 4. The “FBoy Island” star shared his outfit with more than one million of his followers on Instagram, complementing a white No. 6 Sanchez jersey with football pads, eye black — and fake blood spattered on his torso. Sanchez, 38, nearly died after being stabbed during a fracas with a truck driver in Indianapolis. Believed to be the alleged aggressor of the fight, the Fox Sports analyst was arrested and charged with a felony count of battery involving serious bodily injury and three misdemeanor charges, one of which was public intoxication. The former Jets field general spent the next week in the hospital, telling reporters upon his release that a surgeon “saved my life” with an emergency procedure. Sanchez’s trial date is set for Dec. 11, and he was excused from last week’s pretrial conference as he continues to recover from the injuries. For Polizzi, it wouldn’t be the first time that the edgy comic ruffled feathers with a controversial costume. Last Halloween, Polizzi posted a photo of himself sporting a Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts jersey and nothing else, an apparent reference to a previously resurfaced sexual assault scandal regarding an alleged “mooning” incident during Manning’s time at Tennessee. Many of Polizzi’s followers found his Sanchez costume hilarious — and he doesn’t seem to have much remorse for those who found it offensive. “Meanest comment gets pinned,” he captioned the post.
