A sniper shot dead at least one person and wounded two others at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility Wednesday moments before he died from a self-inflicted gun wound as law enforcement officials approached him. FBI chief Kash Patel posted a photo of bullets found by the shooter’s body which were engraved with ‘anti-ICE messages’. Kash Patel shared an image of the bullets reading: ‘Anti-ICE’, providing new details about the attack hinting that the attacker had an “ideological motive”.The attack is being investigated as an act of politically motivated violence and is not considered a “one-off” incident, according to Kash Patel, who referenced a similar attack on a separate ICE facility two months prior.”While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack… These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off,” Kash Patel said in a post on X.”We are only miles from Prairieland, Texas, where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers,” Patel said. “It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice.”ALSO READ: Dallas ICE facility shooting suspect identified? Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a statement that his state ‘fully supports ICE’, and vowed to step up deportations as a result of the shooting. “This assassination will NOT slow our arrest, detention, & deportation of illegal immigrants.
