Father Worked As IAS Officer's Driver, Son Clears Civil Services Exam To Become Officer Himself

In a remarkable tale of perseverance and determination, Hrithik Solanki from Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district has achieved what many only dream of, cracking the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination. His journey is a shining example of how grit and dedication can rise above economic hardships. Hrithik’s father, Roopsingh Solanki, works as the driver of IAS officer Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, one of the most admired civil servants in the country. While it is often the children of bureaucrats who find a place in the civil services, Hrithik’s success tells a different story, one of a driver’s son who turned his aspirations into reality through sheer hard work. Hrithik has not only cleared the MPPSC 2023 exam but has also been selected for a prestigious government post, fulfilling his long-held dream of joining the civil services. This is his second major achievement, he had earlier cleared the MPPSC 2022 examination and is currently serving as an Assistant Treasury Officer in Alirajpur district. A graduate of Delhi University, Hrithik credits his success entirely to his parents. His father, Roopsingh, made immense sacrifices for his son’s education, cutting down household expenses and even selling his GPS machine to fund Hrithik’s studies and UPSC coaching in Delhi. “I wanted my son to become an officer one day, and I was ready to do anything for it,” Roopsingh said proudly. Hrithik’s inspiration came from his daily observations of his father’s employer, IAS officer Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, who serves as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) in Narsinghpur district. Watching her dedication and leadership up close motivated him to follow a similar path. Srushti Deshmukh, who secured All India Rank 5 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018 and was the topper among women, continues to inspire many across the country. For Hrithik, her success was not just a distant story but something he witnessed from near, and that proximity helped shape his ambition. The spirit of hard work runs in the Solanki family. Hrithik’s elder brother, Rahul Solanki, has also cleared the MP Forest Service Examination and is undergoing training at the Chandrapur Forest Academy in Maharashtra. Hrithik’s story stands as a beacon of hope for thousands of young aspirants across the country who come from humble backgrounds.
