Mangaluru: The Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) held a press meet on Monday, 10 November 2025, at the Decennial Memorial Hall, Library Building, to announce a series of significant upcoming events and institutional milestones. The session, presided over by Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, FMCI, was attended by representatives of leading media houses and members of the institution’s academic and administrative councils. Rev. Fr Faustine Lobo, in his address, welcomed the press and highlighted FMCI’s continued dedication to excellence in healthcare, education, and research. The occasion also marked his first official media interaction since assuming the role of Director in April 2025. Explora 2025 – International Homoeopathic Conference The Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (FMHMC&H), Deralakatte, announced the forthcoming International Homoeopathic Conference – Explora 2025, scheduled from 14 to 16 November 2025. The event will bring together more than 1,500 delegates from India and abroad, including scholars from the UK, South Africa, Australia, Germany, and India. The inauguration will be presided over by Rev. Fr Faustine Lobo, with Mrs Kamala Bai B, KAS, Chief Administrative Officer, Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka, as Chief Guest. International guests Dr Ashley Ross (Durban University of Technology, South Africa) and Dr Kim Antony Jobst (UK) will attend as Guests of Honour. Highlights include: EXPLORA Focus: Small group sessions with global experts. Workshop on OSCE: The first of its kind in Indian Homoeopathic education, covering Materia Medica, Organon, and Repertory. Research Paper and Poster Competitions: With over 130 participants. Research Focus: Encouraging collaborative partnerships between practitioners and FMHMC&H. The event will also feature the release of Pioneer 2025, the annual college magazine, and Research Bulletin 2025, along with the launch of the new KRANIUM – Hospital Information Management System. Rev. Fr Faustine highlighted the college’s role in fostering evidence-based practice and research-oriented healthcare. Explora Fiesta 2025 – Celebration for the public Coinciding with the conference, FMHMC&H will host Explora Fiesta 2025, a three-day cultural and public celebration from 14 to 16 November, between 4:30 PM and 9:00 PM, at the Father Muller Grounds, Kankanady. The fiesta will be inaugurated by Mr Michael D’Souza, Dubai-based entrepreneur, along with Ms Remona Evette Pereira, Bharatanatyam artiste and Golden Book of World Records awardee, and Mr Reuben Jason Machado, another international award winner. With over 60 stalls, including food, lifestyle, and automobile exhibits, the fiesta promises a vibrant community gathering with free entry and ample parking. Contests such as Fancy Dress, Ramp Walk, Talented Duos, and Dance Competitions will offer prizes worth ₹1.5 lakhs, complemented by spot games and entertainment sessions. The event aims to strengthen community engagement while complementing the academic spirit of Explora 2025. A decade of NABH accreditation – From legacy to excellence The Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) celebrates 10 years of NABH accreditation, marking its unwavering commitment to quality, ethics, and patient safety. First accredited in 2015, the hospital now holds 6th Edition NABH Accreditation (valid until 2029) and the Gold Standard under NABH Digital Health Standards, reaffirming its place as a leader in digital healthcare and quality management. The celebration themed “From Legacy to Excellence” will take place on 14 November 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Decennial Memorial Hall. The programme will include the launch of a new Quality Management System, felicitation of quality champions, and distribution of awards and certificates. As part of World Quality Week 2025 (10–14 November), FMMCH is conducting Lean Six Sigma workshops, incident analysis seminars, and creative contests like Wealth Out of Waste and Quality Through the Lens. Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, Administrator, stated that NABH accreditation reflects not only compliance but a compassionate commitment to systems that enhance patient care. Additional highlights Children’s Day Celebrations (13–15 November): Organised by the Departments of Paediatrics and Nursing, featuring school outreach programmes and hospital activities. World Diabetes Day Campaign (5–15 November): Led by the Department of Community Medicine under the theme “Know More and Do More for Diabetes at Work”, featuring awareness drives, fitness challenges, and screenings. The press meet was attended by several senior administrators, including Rev. Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, Rev. Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Rev. Fr Michael Santhumayor, Rev. Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, and Rev. Fr William D’Souza, along with academic leaders and department heads. Ms Priya S Pereira and Ms Josmita D’Souza, Faculty of Nursing, compered the event, while Dr Kelvin (Liaison Officer) and Mr Elias Fernandes managed logistics and arrangements.
