Spider-Man fans, rejoice! Our ‘friendly neighbourhood’ superhero is all set to make a grand return to the theatres in India soon. As Spider-Man’s next part, titled Brand New Day, featuring Tom Holland, is generating significant anticipation, Sony Pictures Entertainment is now planning to bring all the Spideys, including Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Holland and even Miles Morales (Spider-Verse), back to the big screens to relive the nostalgia.
The superhero is arguably the most popular Marvel Comics character, has been portrayed in live-action films by three actors.
All Spider-Man Films To Re-Release In India
According to a report by Hindustan Times, all the Spider-Man films, from the initial part released in 2002 to the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home, will be hitting the big screens once again in November 2025.
The Tobey Maguire trilogy will hit theatres first on November 14, followed by the two Andrew Garfield films on November 21 and the Tom Holland trilogy on November 28, including the last film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which famously has all three live-action Spider-Men sharing the screen for the first and only time.
Not just this, the critically acclaimed animated series, Spider-Verse universe will also be making it toe the big screens again. It will be re-released on December 5.
Makers On All Spider-Man Films Re-Releasing In India
Sony Pictures Entertainment India will bring the Spider-Mania marathon to Indian cinemas in November. Speaking about the same, Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International, India, told HT, “Spider-Man is one of the most iconic and inspirational characters in history. Bringing back all of his films to Indian cinemas is a way to respect the fans who have loved him for decades, while also providing new audiences with the opportunity to experience these classic stories on a large scale.”
Spider-Man Films History
The Spider-Man franchise started with Tobey Maguire playing Peter Parker in Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Spider-Man 3 (2007). After that, actor Andrew Garfield replaced him to play the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014).
Later on, after Spider-Man’s inclusion in the Avengers, Tom Holland came on board to play ‘friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man’. His first appearance was in the 2016 action thriller Captain America: Civil War, wherein he had only a brief appearance.
Holland went on to play the character in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
