Legendary NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw was once beloved for his unexpected and spirited behavior in the analyst’s chair, but that flair has worn out over the past few years. Earlier this year the 77-year-old admitted broadcasting is a “young man’s game” and suggested he’d hang up the mic in a few years while admitting he only has two years left on his current contract with Fox. “I told my wife before I even left the room awhile ago, I was sitting there and I said, ‘I’ve got two years left at Fox. I’m 76,’” Bradshaw said during Super Bowl week. “OK, so It’s a young man’s game. I get that… so I said, if we can get to the next Super Bowl, I’ll be 80. On Sunday afternoon, the four-time Super Bowl champion attempted to deliver a report — and make a joke at the same time — but ended up leaving his on-air teammates confused. “But the thing that I would worry about more-so than Washington is the other day I texted Andy Reid and I got a text back — and I thought it was Andy Reid, but it was some guy selling pigs. Bradshaw is known for his wildly entertaining persona, but he often misses the mark when trying to work in humor with his football analysis. A third fan said: “They need to retire him, for his sake. He’s been bad for awhile now.” “Hot take maybe: Terry Bradshaw…undisputed legend… but he needs to retire. At minimum he needs to stop doing those halftime recaps, it’s getting harder and harder to listen to,” one user replied. “FOX, with all due respect, it might be time to give Bradshaw that gold watch and send him off into retirement. 🤣,” another user quipped.
