Senior actor Mammootty was accorded a warm reception at the Kochi airport on Thursday (October 30, 2025) as he returned home after a gap of eight months following a break from acting to undergo medical treatment. Industries Minister P. Rajeeve and Anwar Sadath, MLA, were among those who received him at the airport. His fans cheered as he walked out accompanied by his wife Sulfath and close associates including producer Anto Joseph and S. George, the actor’s personal secretary. The actor greeted his well-wishers and thanked everyone for the support before he drove to his residence at Elamkulam. Mr. Mammootty was working in Mahesh Narayanan’s movie Patriot when he took a break amid concerns about his health. The film has actors Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Nayanthara in lead roles. After he regained his health, the actor joined the shooting of the movie in Hyderabad and London. The actor’s production house ‘Mammootty Kampany’ had announced his latest movie Kalamkaval, directed by Jithin K. Jose, slated for release on November 27, 2025.
