Lucha fans will soon see the reunion of the Lucha Brothers, Penta and Rey Fenix. The match will be their first time teaming up since they both signed contracts with WWE. The reunion is scheduled to take place at the AAA “Guerra de Titanes” event on December 20. The show will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico, at the Arena Guadalajara. According to a report from Luchablog, AAA is booking a major show to draw fans to a large 20,000-seat venue. The promotion is banking on fans traveling from across the country, as local turnout is reportedly uncertain. To help fill the venue, AAA is stacking the show with other major names. This includes WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, who is also advertised to appear. The main story, however, is the return of the Lucha Brothers, which was teased by Penta himself. He posted a cryptic message on Instagram that featured a set of coordinates and the number 521. Once decoded, the coordinates pointed directly to Guadalajara. The number 521 reportedly represented the number of days it will have been since Penta and Fenix last teamed together on the day of the show. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match Luchablog provided a translation and context for the teaser. “It’s also why Penta’s Instagram had a mystery message with coordinates and a day count.” A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Translated, it means he and Fenix are teaming up for the first time since they both came to WWE on 12/20 in Guadalajara.” The report continued by noting the importance of this booking for the event. “That’ll be a big deal, and it’ll help people understand this is meant to be a big deal show.” This upcoming tag team match on December 20 will be the first official outing for Penta and Fenix as a team under the WWE umbrella. The fact that it is happening on AAA’s turf makes the event notable for the wrestling landscape. Both Penta and Fenix have been competing as singles stars in WWE since their arrival. Penta recently competed for the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on November 1st. Fenix has also been featured on WWE programming, but the two have not been paired together as a tag team. This reunion at an AAA event signals a new level of cooperation between WWE and the Mexican promotion.
