The Florida A&M men's basketball team lost to the Central Florida Knights 97-60, remaining winless for the season. FAMU was led by substitute guard Anthony Knowles, who scored a team-high 12 points. UCF significantly outperformed FAMU in shooting percentage, free throws, and rebounds. The Rattlers' next game is on November 17 against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens. Florida A&M men’s basketball is still in search of its first win of the 2025 season under new head coach Charlie Ward. The Rattlers traveled to Orlando and lost to the Central Florida Knights 97-60 on Tuesday, Nov. 11, a Veterans Day non-conference matchup before a crowd of 5,577 at Addition Financial Arena. FAMU (0-3) scored 34 bench points led by Anthony Knowles. The guard subbed in and scored a team-high 12 points for the Rattlers. UCF’s (2-1) leading scorer was Carmelo Pacheco, with 17 points. The guard drained five three-pointers on six attempts. Tuesday also served as FAMU’s 6-foot-11 center Miles Ndalama’s debut since transferring from Chipola College. The junior from Zambia finished with eight points, six rebounds, and a game-high three blocks. FAMU shot just 38 percent from the field compared to UCF’s 55. The Rattlers also struggled to hit free throws at a high clip, going 12 for 22. The UCF Knights outrebounded FAMU 48-24, doubling the Rattlers’ total on the boards. The Rattlers are off from game action until Monday, Nov. 17 when they travel to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) for a non-conference game. UGA will next face in-state rival Georgia Tech on Friday, Nov. 14, before hosting the Rattlers three days later.
