The Carolina Classic Fair, a signature fall event in Winston-Salem, returns on Friday for a nine-day run. Indulge in fattening foods then take a ride on the Tilt-a-Whirl, or for a more passive approach, marvel at giant pumpkins and watch water-skiing squirrels. This year’s grandstand shows include monster trucks, a rodeo, a demolition derby and tractor pulls. Specials run most days so check out the fair’s website about possible discounts. And while you’re on the website, be sure to check out the safety and security section. Visit https://carolinaclassicfair.com/general-info/ for all the details.
