The event will give visitors the opportunity to tour the campus, meet staff and students, and hear from Headteacher Victoria Gamble and newly appointed Deputy Headteacher Jane Barrowcliff about the school’s ethos and holistic approach to International Baccalaureate (IB) education. For the first time, the Open Day will also include a programme of short, interactive sessions designed for prospective students. From science and languages to sport, those attending will gain first-hand insight into lessons and school life at Fairview. Headteacher Victoria Gamble said: “We’re excited to welcome families to our September Open Day. It’s a chance for parents and students to see what makes Fairview unique, meet our community and experience the IB approach in action. “We look forward to showcasing how our holistic approach to education fosters global citizenship, kindness, and compassion alongside academic excellence, and the new mini-sessions we’re offering will give visitors the opportunity to join in with activities and get a real sense of what it feels like to be part of our school.” Having opened in 2019, Fairview International School saw their first ever Diploma Programme cohort graduate this summer with outstanding results, with every student securing a 100% pass rate across all subjects. Of those, 71% achieved grades equivalent to A or A* at Advanced Higher level and 66% of the students qualified in Mandarin with grades of 6s and 7s, well above global average scores. Committed to offering accessible education, at the start of 2025, the school absorbed the 20% VAT increase and was one of the only schools in Scotland to do so. To further support families, tuition fees have been frozen until 2027, ensuring financial stability for parents and education continuity for students.
